The It Bag Of The Summer: Introducing The Micro-Purse

You've probably heard about the "micro-bag," but what exactly does this this new bag look like? As our clothing and cell phones get bigger, our accessories are getting smaller. Before we take a look at some of our favorite micro-purses of the season, let's see how these fashion icons are rocking the new 'it girl' bag.

Bella Hadid takes on the trend in a red jumpsuit with matching white booties and mini-bag.
Kendall looks dreamy in an white all white outfit that she pairs with white booties (clearly white boots are having a major moment in fashion). A fluffy light pink mini purse complements this girly look perfectly.
Gigi Hadid exudes coolness in her model off duty look by pairing a mini bag with an oversized coat and sweatpants.
Rihanna is a vision in Canary yellow and matches her accessories to her dress. THIS is how you do monochrome.
Here we have Emily Ratajkowski in an off the shoulder denim on denim look. We love her pop of red.
Now that we've seen how some of our favorite street style stars are sporting the look, let's view some of our favorite mini purses of the season.

No picnic is complete without this adorable hand-woven wicker bag from Ulla Johnson. This bag made its debut on the runway at NYFW as part of the designer's Spring 18 collection. Wicker bags became popular last season and the trend has been continuously gaining momentum. Designed to resemble a honeypot, this bag has a detachable leather strap or can be held by the handles. Not a fan of the black? It is also available in white.

Is there anything Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen can't do? The twins' boho-chic style aligns perfectly with their Ascot small velvet tote available in sunflower and black velvet. The small velvet tote from The Row has been worn by style icons Rihanna and Zoe Kravitz, meaning it already gets our stamp of approval. The sunflower colored velvet is finished off with knotted handles and a turquoise button. Only the essentials are able to fit in the mini bag, so pack lightly!

Hunting Season, established in 2006 aims to create sleek and minimalist styles for those looking for high quality craftsmanship and fine materials. The designer, Danielle Corona, sources her materials from all over the globe where they are then handcrafted in Columbia (the lizard skin was sourced in Indonesia). Her Clo Box lizard tote is so chic in this vibrant cherry. We love the simplicity of the silhouette, (boxier shapes and structured bags are in for 2018). We imagine this mini bag with a pair of loose fitting mom jeans, a white tee, loafers, and oversize sunnies.

London based designer Roksanda Ilincic uses her background in architecture to create her sleek, sculpted designs. The textured light blue and yellow complement each other for a fun and quirky look. If you're going for a more serious look, the wavy yellow strap is detachable and you can hold it by the metal handles.

A fanny pack is always a good idea. Who wants to carry all of your essentials when you can just strap them to your waist belt, especially when it is as chic as the Rockstud quilted denim belt bag from Valentino? Denim is always a classic and we are seeing more and more denim accessories available to us. We love how the bag is complemented by dark red stitching and the designers signature studs. This bag in particular is screaming Bella Hadid vibes, as it would fit perfectly with her punk rock aesthetic. Sling it across your body, or wear around your waist. Either way, expect a lot of double takes.
